DilCalc is invaluable for anyone who needs to do dilution calculations. This unique program calculates dilution volumes from any stock concentration to any lower final concentration. The program has two different modes; Graduated mode for use with serological pipettes and variable volume pipettors, and Volumetric mode for use with volumetric flasks and pipettes. DilCalc is very easy to use. Simply specify the starting concentration and units, and list up to ten target concentrations. DilCalc will automatically calculate any intermediate step dilutions required based on the source and target units, resolution, and percentage error. DilCalc can compensate for unit changes. For example, if your stock standard is in milligrams pr liter and your final solution is nanograms per milliliter, DilCalc will compensate for you. No more "dilute 0.000000001 ml of standard into 10 ml of buffer."

DilCalc can also perform fractional equivalents. Anyone who has ever tried to do titer concentration calculations knows that you have to carry half the calculation in your head using a calculator. With DilCalc, you simply set the units to "titer" and start typing in fractions like "1/120." Now you can eliminate dilution errors! DilCalc does not make mistakes.
