Standard Curve!PlusTM

For many years StandardCurves has been one of ChemSW's most popular programs. Customers have found the program valuable in removing drudgery, and associated chance of introducing error, from the process of generating Standard Curve plots and calculating sample concentrations. With the introduction of StandardCurve!Plus, ChemSW now offers an enhanced, cutting-edge version of this reliable best-seller.

While StandardCurves is accessible to all levels of user, many customers have relied on its accuracy and simplicity for use by technicians. This transfer of the sample-calculation process to technicians from bench chemists is among the most worthwhile features of the program. A primary aim of StandardCurve!Plus was to upgrade the program algorithm to full 32-bit operation, thus greatly increasing reliability on newer computer systems, while harmonizing the interface for users whose primary familiarity is with Windows95/Windows NT. Windows95 improvements such as long filename support are an added bonus of 32-bit operation.

The Plus version is more than just an updating of the proven StandardCurves concept. Over the past several years, the hundreds of StandardCurves users worldwide have developed a wish list of features, most of which have been incorporated into this new program. For instance, when the program is opened, the new interface is immediately familiar to users of standard spreadsheet programs, making for easier and more accurate data entry. Notice the "everything-is-there-on-one-screen-Interface."

Some of the many features in StandardCurve!Plus:

  • The StandardCurve!Plus interface is divided into four areas: Graph, Data, Setup, and Statistics. You can size the areas to whatever fits your needs! Or you can selectively choose not to display any of the four areas.
  • The on-line Help system for StandardCurve!Plus is hot-linked for intuitive use. In addition, it features full-text search capability to handle situations where, as sometimes happens, the best place to start a help search isn't obvious.
  • StandardCurve!Plus allows you to save your calibration and/or sample data to files.
  • StandardCurve!Plus will copy and paste your data to and from other programs such as Paint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • The program retains the Windows clipboard interface and text-file use of the original, so data entered and calculated with StandardCurve!Plus is easy to export to other programs.
  • You can type in notes on either calibration or sample data and it will be stored with the file—for GLP!!
  • You can plot any way you want: Calibration points only, Sample points only, or both.
  • You can set up icons to open not only StandardCurve!Plus, but automatically open a Calibration file, too—wait, not only can you do that, but you can also set up icons to automatically open StandardCurve!Plus, one of your Calibration files, and also one of your Sample files. Now you are ready to quickly get your work done!
  • The program supports all different types of units for Concentration and Intensity.
  • It allows you to analyze three relationships: Linear, Log, Quadratic.
  • You can protect your Calibration or Sample data files so that they cannot be accidentally modified by other users.
