All chromatography data systems give you many ways to integrate chromatographic peaks. But how do you know which method gives the most accurate answer? PeakTrain is the answer to this problem. This program lets you enter information on four chromatographic peaks (retention time, width, and area) and then draws your four peaks on the screen. Choose from several integration options: Perpendicular Drop (4 Peak Group), Perpendicular Drop (Baseline Forward), Valley-to-Valley, Shoulder, and even a manual integration option. The program reports the percent error in the area or height when using a particular integration option. You can even add a baseline shift, noise, and a hidden peak! This program is a valuable training tool for any chromatography analyst, illustrating the proper way to integrate peaks, and produce the most accurate results.
