This position will be in our Ithaca, NY Office.
Qualified individual will have experience in executing tests on complex applications, writing test cases, help files and manuals. Will work closely with the development team to ensure quality throughout the product life cycle. Candidate needs to have strong analytical, problem solving and research skills and the ability to communicate with individuals of all levels of technical and business expertise. Basic experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or other SQL-based RDBMS highly desirable.
Candidate must be self-motivated, possess excellent communications skills, able to meet frequent deadlines and work in a team environment.
Requirements
- Experience in executing test plans, careful results documentation
- Experience in writing clear and methodical test cases
- Experience with some form of database
Highly Desirable
- SQL RDBMS experience - ability to run SQL scripts, drop and create schemas, basic SQL queries
- Experience with database driven applications
- Technical writing/documentation experience
- Significant general software QA/QC experience
Beneficial
- Experience with TestComplete
- Experience with automating software testing
- Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology background
