“Laboratory, facility and safety professionals have been asking us for a flexible, easy-to-use tool to perform inspections and report the results for auditing purposes. So we developed a robust software tool that enables them to rapidly develop forms and conduct audits anywhere, any time they want,” states Brian Stafford, President of ChemSW.
“Most field site inspections are conducted using a clipboard,” he continues. “The data is then transcribed into an electronic spreadsheet for reporting – a laborious and error-prone process. Our new Site Inspection Live solution eliminates those issues. Now, facility managers can upload inspection forms to a handheld, perform fast, mobile inspections for any type of asset or process--from fire extinguishers to fume hoods to hazardous materials—and download the data into SI Live for reporting. It’s fast, simple, and accurate.”

Site Inspection Live’s unique Inspection Designer feature is at the heart of the system. Inspection Designer delivers a rich set of tools that allow users to create inspection forms for a wide variety of question types, including plain text, numeric, yes/no, and option list, as well as for a range of user-defined criteria, including asset, location, route or target. Forms can be easily configured to skip non-applicable questions depending on the answer to a previous question. Once inspection forms are defined, users can capture inspection data for a wide variety assets, such as safety equipment and instrumentation, as well as locations, such as waste sites. An automated scheduling feature enables users to develop seamless workflows for creation and completion of inspection forms. In addition, robust reporting tools ease creation and expedite distribution of inspection reports.
As a web-delivered Software as a Service (SAAS) solution, SI Live enables the organization to replace large upfront fees and costs with periodic all-in-one subscription payments at a fraction of the price.
Site Inspection Live is designed as a standalone application but also works closely with IMCS Live, ChemSW’s Instrument Maintenance and Calibration System for laboratory equipment calibration tracking and management.
